If a prescription is part of your treatment plan, you will be notified when the prescription has been approved. Your physician will send it electronically to the pharmacy of your choice. Contact your pharmacy to confirm when it will be ready for pickup.

In most cases, yes. If you have insurance, almost all companies will cover your regular prescriptions, even if they are not written by your PCP. All of our physicians are licensed in the states in which they prescribe. Therefore, an insurance company should not have a reason to deny payment for your regularly covered prescriptions. Your physician will be available via secure chat for 48 hours after your consult to answer any additional questions that you may have or to make necessary changes to your prescriptions. This service is included in your initial consult fee. However, your physician can terminate chat discussions early and at their discretion if they feel that you are abusing the chat function. You can also find the number for virtual customer support under “Contact Us” when you access your medical records. Registered patients can call this number to address any issues that they have with the visit and to contact their physician after the visit has ended.
You can request a medication refill every 4 months (maximum 3 times per year). Medication refills via this platform are meant to be a last minute convenience for those patients that are not able to get their prescriptions filled because they are in between physicians, have recently moved, or cannot get an appointment with their physician in a timely manner. This service is not meant to replace your primary care physician.
No. You will need to follow up with your PCP or pain management specialist for refills on gabapentin.
No. If you have specialty medications such as cancer meds, IV meds for rheumatoid arthritis, or any medication not commonly prescribed by your PCP, you will need to return to your specialist for those refills.
